Cosmonauts tuck into Korean cuisine

The team of the International Space Station have given their first interview since being joined by new crew members. The 17th mission crew arrived on board last Thursday after their rocket blasted off from Kazakhstan two days earlier.

The station's 16th commander, Peggy Witson, praised the first South Korean astronaut Yi So Youn for her enthusiasm and spirit. Both female astronauts will return to earth on April 19.

The next commander, Sergey Volkov, and his crew will remain onboard for another six months.

A popular question among the journalists concerned South Korean cuisine and how it tastes in outer space.

”We tried Korean food a couple of days ago and we feel fine. When you fly up here you feel like you want something spicy,” said Sergey Volkov.
