Russia's fastest missile passes test
A new intercontinental ballistic missile has been successfully tested in Russia. Officials said trials of the RS-24 went according to plan. The missile is reportedly among the fastest in the world, and can easily beat the most ambitious and up-to-date defence systems.
It's hoped that by 2009 the RS-24 will replace existing missiles, which have been on duty for 50 years.
Together with the high-tech sea-missile, Bulava, the new rocket is set to become Russia's main attack weapon.
