They will be around for a while on an ever increasing LESSER use. MP3 and other formats, saved to flash drives are taking over.

It will be downsizing of CDs and enlargement of storage space only.

As long as there is demand for that kind of storage and as long as something BETTER or MORE CONVINIENT doesn't come along !
