yes , especially in Russia ...!

when you see the reactions of russian peoples towards "looks" , it is no secret most of them would prefer a "bad situation looking good" to a "good situation looking bad" ... ;-))

last time i tried to explain this to my banker in russia , the guy had difficulties to understand ...

so i explained him this way " if your car break down , would you have it fixed with a blond top-model sexilly dressed and smilling all times but doing nothing and costing you an arm and a leg or a dirty mechanic , grunting more than speaking , stinking of old oil stains , but very good at fixing cars ... ???

politics is the same ....
peoples prefer to hear nice lies to huggly truth ... even if they know there are lies ....

it's called democracy in lots of countries !!

Dino! What happened? Are the planets in some sort of strange alignment? We actually agree on something? I see, however, you are propositioning Margo again... ROTFLMAO. You appear to have a very elevated opinion of yourself. Perhaps you really are Italian? ;)

Personality, ggod looks, fashionable clothes, in general grooming - STYLE and SUBSTANCE both count!Look at V.Putin, Clinton, Sarkozy and countless others around the world - people generally vote for the well groomed one,l however not to discount substance, but the point is - substance W/O style is at a vast discount!

Its a matter of opinion, I think its a person vision, integrity and leadership skills that count as well as policy substance to lead a given country.
Good looks and smart clothes are secondary issues, what counts is that the prospective leader can present themselves on the Global stage.

Women don't always vote based on a politicans looks, men do the same, and i even heard that some people vote for a party because of their policies! amazing!

Margo you just lost all credibility with the rest of "THE CLONES" (Don't Edit my Clones comment)on RT. You are finally coming around to my kind of thinking. ha ha ha. I'm sure you could find other things to agree with me too. But I will make you regret agreeing with me because it is a proven fact that women voters always vote for "LOOKS" and nothing else.

I could care less!

Dino, strangely enough this time I completely agree with you :-)

Its sad but true...this is the main problem in the US today, style over substance. It all started with Kennedy in the 60's. It would help if elections were actually open to more competition, other than 2 party's, more choice is ALWAYS a good thing!
