Dino you will never stop amazing me.
Typical, Living in a movie.Life is not a film.
Cannt believe you would actually link me to an old western LOL.This can only be done by a child or some one with difficulty in learning LOL.
Back to talking to serious minded people.
I totally aggree with you Ziad, this weapon is not designed for All out final confict type of war. At that point noone will worry if there is radiation fallout or not.It does however have uses like wiping out bases and camps. This weapon would not start an arms race but with the Topol M and now the newly tested RS 24s it may very well start if not checked.Old treaties have to be returned to start with. Most importantly NATO has to realise that Russia would not sit down and allow a military alliance which was originally created against USSR ( which Russia is now a successor state )to spread to its borders.

While it's surely the most powerful vacuum bomb, it's not the most effective one. Therefore it doesn't indicate the beginning of a new arms race.

How useful is the most powerful bomb if it's too heavy to be carried by a missile?

oh please do not ignore Dino he is very entertaining.
USA is not responsible for the rise of fundamental islamic groups? dont make me laugh.Ever heard of Osama bin Muhammad bin 'Awad bin Laden better known as Osama bin Laden.Well he was created and funded by Good old USA to fight the USSR in Afghanistan in the early 80s. Hold on ! was he not the same guy who organised the attack on the twin towers which was carried out by mostly his fellow saudis. Then the usa policy on middle east and isreal hmmm i wonder if it may just make the arabs angry?Ah and the present action in afghan and iraq and the high collateral darmage done by the cowboys had not inceased the islamic actions. The cowboys behaviour had killed almost the same number of our troops(UK)as the arabs.how many americans had we and other europeans killed?hmmm let me think. Then the concentration camp at Guantánamo Bay shall i go on?
Thanks Dino you always put a smile on my face.Such ignorance. Reminds me of comical Ali in bagdad

dino ...

when you wrote "when is Putin going to find those responsible for that terrible tragedy and bring them to justice? "

it's quite funny ...

wake-up , the plane is going to land soon ,and the temperature is 26° ..... :-))

"the war against extremists religious..."
once again , ask yourself a simple question :
from the egg and the hen , who was first ?

don't forget before 9/11 ben laden was a good friend of USA and had lots of buddies into the CIA ...!!

Dino :
AsI have said a few times recently, do your homework and you will get your answers - especially answers to your questions which have been in the news this year, in particular European news.
Sullivan :
Well posted!

Dino,
What country are you referring to when you say 'your Country is doing business with the same people who funded and orchestrated the event from outside the country'?
I am eager to learn what you know!
By the way, you have still to answer my point!
Sullivan       September 15, 2007, 02:05
Dino, now you are propositioning Margo! I'm pretty sure you claimed before to be married. Then again, you claimed to have a different mix of nationalities/ethnic backgrounds practically every other week, so who knows if you were being honest. Anyway, I suspect you can "hope" all you wish. I reckon Margo would chew you up and spit you out before you left first base. Your take on yourself as a "maverick" is highly amusing. Keep it up!
Dino       September 14, 2007, 18:37
Hey "openminded" I don't have a problem with the war in Iraq or Afghanistan somebody has to "STAND UP" against religious thugs. My question to you, when is Putin going to find those responsible for that terrible tragedy and bring them to justice? I'm not talking about the perpetrators but the people who funded and orchestrated the event from outside the country! I think you will find that your Country is doing business with the same people that murdered your children. I have said before the USA Government has done some terrible things around the world....BUT the war on Fanatical Muslim Extremists "IS NOT ONE OF THEM"!

No there will not be an arms race. All nations will continue to develop/purchase arms for self preservation/defence. This human nature.
Regarding expenditure. Well, instead of pointing fingers at Russia all the time how about we all start looking, and pointing fingers, at Pakistan and India who have both spent fortunes in nuclear explosives and recently India signing an agreement to lease a nuclear submarine from Russia, instead of spending this money on improving welfare, communications, etc. Or is this taboo?
By the way, Dino, did the good old US of A have a day of mourning and stop everything (even the war it started in Iraq) in memory of Beslan? Did you, in your ivory tower and all your thousand's?
Dino       September 14, 2007, 04:16
Actually "Margo" I was hoping you and I could get together and have a good old time "arguing" with one another! Sound like fun? Hey your as bad as me, we are two opinionated people...probably to a fault but isn't this "JOUSTING" entertaining? I would be the first to admit that I'm NOT wired (thinks) like other's. I have always been a maverick and entrepreneur who takes a risk and gambles on new adventures. I don't believe in the conventional thinking and choose to "Think out of The Box"
Margo       September 14, 2007, 02:34
As other people here already said, there is nothing wrong about Russia testing its own weapons. Russia has the right to defentd itself and its own people. It would be nice to be able to just build roads and homes and a peaceful future, but at present the situation suggests that it is better to be aware and prepared. The US are surrounding Russia (and China) with NATO bases and so-called anti-missile systems which can be transformed any moment into something else. The American international policies are too aggressive to be ignored.

And, sorry for going OT, but what should better be ignored is this guy Dino, who has a say (usually a silly and irrelevant one) in all the forums. Now everybody answers to him instead of focusing on the subject. Perhaps this is what he wants. A teenager looking for attention? An agent provocateur?? Just looking for a forum about Dino?? :-)

Russia doesn't need bombs anymore than any other country does. This whole series of bombs, nukes, subs and bombers are fuelled by suspicion, ego and lust for power and so will any future arms race. AND RF IS NOT GUILTY on any account of any of those evils!
John       September 13, 2007, 21:08
This is a very scary weapon cable of mass distruction ,But i agree with Mike i doubt Russia will invest time and money in producing many of these. Ask the question who could they be used on ?, They would have been very useful in world war 2 at the battle of Kursk when two massed armys faced off against each other but these battles are part of history, In todays modern world you require smaller but more powerful forces. The future lies with precision laser guided tecnology these indiscriminate weapons are out dated tecnology. in todays world all our collective biggest danger lies with terrorist groups who hide amongst ordinary citizens so it is most unlikely this could be deployed against them. I believe this is just a show of strengh from Russia to remind Nato that they need to take Russia seriously especialy over issues like the proposed deployment of missile systems in Poland ect ,This will not trigger an arms race.
