GET IT OFF YOUR CHEST - The Armenian opposition has taken to the streets again, despite international observers calling the latest election free and fair. Is international recognition a true indicator or is it a mere formality?

- I think it is increasingly plain that Inernational Recognition of elections carries little credibility, one way or the other, for a variety of reasons.
Having said that I believe, in addition, that the OSCE for one don't monitor elections in regions like Abkhazia. This strikes me as counter-productive. These territories, whatever one thinks of their "independent" status, should not be ignored.

- This whole cr** about Observers could be solved by having one central UN (Though doubts whether UN still valid)body, composed of various respected individuals from all over the world, and not "certain countries only"
They would report their findings to UN,and the Gen Sec/senior official would then make a statement...!
These self appointed/CIA/Soros type financed NGO's/dubious organizations actually create more confusion/unnecessary noise!
These non-essential pundits should be allowed 'only at the country's risk'
After all an elections are FOR the people, BY the people, OF the people...
Not-for/by/of some dubious/doubtful "International Observers"!

- It would be good to have observers from the "east" monitoring elections in the "west". I don't think there is anything stopping, say, Russian or Chinese observers doing so. Who would learn most from the process is an interesting question ...
Would such observers be more likely to find fault with the election?

- I wonder if International observers from Asia, CIS and other European countries are observing the primaries in US, given the spate of scandals reg. voting machines, inaccurate counting, inadequate timings and caucus politics etc.
Wonder if anyone has considered how the all – deciding Super-delegates are chosen and on what basis?
Whether on basis of qualification, ethnicity, political impartiality etc?
In any case as some have already indicated their preferences for this candidate or that, why the hell have this long winded/ expensive campaign, TV debates and all such farce?
Why not these super-delegates decide?
Has anyone wondered seriously, what exactly the election process in US is trying to hide, by so blatantly by media-hyping it?
Does the popular vote really count?
If Obama or someone else really doesn’t get nominated, wonder why? Whether because he has received less popular votes (Which, BTW, in next to impossible!)? OR because some WASPish “Super-delegate/s” feel/s he is unfit, because of whatever consideration –
Color, background, ethnicity or “doubts about religion” maybe?
Anyways, since it’s their vote, they’re welcome to it…
Regarding Armenia, same old case of “Destructive democracy” – even to the extent of endangering National Security…
As for International Observers, some answers needed to the questions raised above, please

- Sevodnya_Net, All you have to ask those who protest against a government are questions concerning what kind of "human rights" are being violated against them, right?
Since the "western observers", as you call them, get very involved in these kind of things around the world - I mean - they - the west - make it ALL their business - as in Iraq, Venezuela elections ETC, Africa (quite a concern, after all, with ALL those precious GEMS, GOLD, etc. etc. that goes with those election concerns, you know...
Sevodnya_Net, when you refer to "the west" are you referring to the WILD, WILD west?...the GUN TOTING, COWBOY HAT BOASTING, COWBOY BOOTY STAMPEEDING proud as a peacock G W USA???! so concerned for others (nation's) WEALTHFARE and fare and square (AS A ROWDY TEXAS SQUARE DANCIN' PARTNERSHIP, always sayin' "Howdy!!" with a big happy-as-a-lark GRIN - remember Katrina?!, and..oh yeah..when Chavez was cooed-de-tad out of his own office chair by US of A) election OBSERVERS who
walk the walk and talk the talk and stalk (nations, not a few) and balk (at any leader that opposes him) and MOCK (THE HOLY WORD OF YAHOWAH) as he beats the hell out of every nation that
irks him the wrong way at the wrong time
that's always the best time for the GREAT OBSERVER to give his opinion about WHO'S RIGHT AND WHOSE WRONG and DON'T JUDGE ME
'CAUSE USA is right ALL THE TIME, GOT IT????!!!!
By way of the things you say, Sevodnya_NET, apparently you still "don't care about what (the book of) Isaiah says." (from your "Russia Today" forum question: "Kosovo Independence....war" comment, recorded: Sevodnya_Net March 1, 2008 17:36 in response to my comment: RachEl February 29, 2008 17:11 and my subsequent comment: RachEl March 5, 2008 00:17.
BY THE WAY, Bush says HE cares all about what Isaiah says. If fact, the Great Observer tells ALL the nations about what the Creator who sent Isaiah TELLS HIM (tells Bush) what to say TO THEM (the nations). Now, what more could you ask for???!!!! (during an election, ..or OTHERWISE)?
The trouble is...wherever U. S.Bush (leader of the west..., the north, the south, the east - at least the USA thinks its CALLED to do so (to LEAD the world)).. goes, it
leaves more trouble behind than what they
went there in the first place..."TO OBSERVE"!!!
tricky word there..."observe" ...when it comes to a bronco rider on a run-away horse he just can't seem to get off of, huh?
Sevodnya_Net, you seen a horse(farm) 'roun here named "Blackwater"...worse yet, "The Black Group"? ...mighty mean..hates the Creator and everyone who speaks the truth..but loves to lie and trample the truth, with the Bible in the saddle "God Bless America!"on a bloody path and makes as- much-as-necessary "collateral damage" in the name of "human rights", neighing louder than any, saying, "THUS SAYS THE USA" and kicking up so much dust..the whole world can't see straight
On a most sober tone, which is the best way to be in "these last days" (for evil, that is)...
There's another observer, the Observer of All Observers and He WILL set things aright, just as He promised (to Isaiah, and ALL "His elect" and will gather his elect from the four winds.."..everyone that FEARS the commmandment that says, "You shall not lie (bear false witness) against your neighbor" (including lying against neighboring NATIONS)!
"Israel my elect, I have even called you by your name..I am Yahowah, and there is none else..beside me there is no Creator.."For thus says Yahowah that created the heavens; Yahshuah himself that formed the earth and made it; he has established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am Yahowah; and there is none else..I declare things that are right...And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and things that are coming, and shall come, let them show unto them....my elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of Yahshuah, even Yahowah, and their offspring with them...I, Yahshuah, alone am your Savior."
"..Woe to him that strives with his Maker..they that make a graven image (Clinton Clone) are all of them vanity..that they may be ashamed. .. (Nero, the AntiChrist - with his Nazi scientists) makes it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the (White) house..yea, he (Nazi Nero-minded) makes it a graven image (clone) and falls down to it..even his graven image: he (Nero in Bush) falls down to it, and worships it, and prays to it, and says, Deliver me; for you are my god." Book of Isaiah 44, 45, 65
As far as US elections, have you observed something most observation-worthy and strange in Bush toward "his Bill" of endorsement?
There is a spirit that judges, saying, "Why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit?....Of a truth it is, that your Creator is a Creator of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets.." Daniel 2:47
"Wherever this gospel be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman (MariYah) be told for a memorial of her..for in that she has poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial." (The words of Yahshuah two days before Passover, the 14th day of the 1st month of Abib (Aviv), when "they crucified him".. (...and Yahshuah rose again.."Yahshuah showed himself to his disciples, after he was risen from the dead.").." Matthew 26:1-13; John 21:14

- It seems that sometimes that International recognition of elections depends largely on the body doing the monitoring.
For example Uzbekistan's recent elections were declared free and fair by CIS observers and anything but by western observers. Similarly, Georgia's elections were declared largely fair by western observers while CIS observers seemed to have more reservations.
It's impossible to say how closely the elections win Armenia were monitored, or really, from this distance, what the real reasons are for the protests. Are people fed up in general? Do they just fancy a bit of a protest? Or is there a genuine feeling that the "wrong person" won as he didn't actually get enough votes?
It would be interesting to hear from people closer to the situation.
