Epiphany shows the importance and origin of baptism: the spiritual significance and substance of physical realities. It also shows the nature of the Creator, His great humility and patience. It also shows how that as an adult, one is responsible before God and man, on earth and in heaven, for their own actions, which is why Christ was baptized as an adult.
It also fulfilled one events of the time lines related to the Hebrew prophets (Daniel, Isaiah, Zechariah, and others) in phrophetic writings before Christ was born to reveal to the Hebrews when their Leader would appear. Some people may be familiar with these timelines. So, it also serves as a historical milestone that is there for measuring and comparing historical accounts of the ancient and modern world.
