After this successful debut, Aleksey has written, produced and directed a dozen documentaries covering the 20th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear explosion, the aftermath of the Beslan school siege, the history of Russian jazz, the psychological problems experienced by big city-dwellers, and many more.
Aleksey Brazhnikov has been working in television for eight years. Before joining Russia Today, he visited nearly 20 countries as a travel correspondent for the “Way of life” series on the NTV channel. He used to tell Russian audiences about foreign traditions and lifestyles. Now he tells foreigners about Russia.
Aleksey believes that Russia is still an undiscovered country for documentary film-makers. He treats his job as a chance to tell others more about the country he loves.
