Dariya Pushkova
Dariya Pushkova is Russia Today's London Correspondent.
Since joining Russia Today at the very early stages of its creation she's been covering a whole variety of stories from London - keeping RT's viewers up to date with the most important events in Great Britain - from demonstrations against the war in Iraq to protests against the U.S. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice's visit to the UK. From the outbreak of bird flu to business stories from the City of London. Almost quarter-of a-million of Russians who live in London also provide enough inspiration for news and features starting with a well-respected annual Russian Economic Forum in London, and finishing with the Russian school for children who have already forgotten their native language. Recently Pushkova has been following all the ins and outs of the so-called "Russian spy scandal" in Britain provoked by the death of a Russian ex-secret service agent, Aleksandr Litvinenko.
Breaking news have also taken Pushkova across Europe. She closely followed the events in Serbia, surrouding the funeral of the former leader of Serbia, Slobodan Milosevic, the close race in the run-up to the referendum on indepence in Montenegro, the split among the inhabitants of the unsettled region of Kosovo, the annual gatherings of world's business and political elite in Davos as well as the so-called 'Davos on Security' - annual conference in Munich.
Prior to joining Russia Today, Dariya worked for the Moscow BBC bureau producing stories, reporting and providing live coverage for various BBC Radio and TV outlets from Russia and neighbouring countries, combining this with being own correspondent for BBC3 'Liquid News' showbiz programme.
Dariya Pushkova graduated from Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO) with an Honors degree in Journalism and PR. She speaks fluent English, French and Czech.
She loves travelling and photography. Skiing and horseback riding are her favorites for leisure time.
