Eunan O'Neill
Eunan is a Sports Presenter on Russia Today.
Eunan's first foray into Journalism came while attending university in Delaware, where Eunan worked as a Current Affairs talk-show host on College Radio.
After catching the bug, Eunan gained news experience with regional BBC stations in Belfast and Sheffield.
He then moved onto Sport where interviews with major personalities in the UK and Irish sporting arenas followed - including former IBO Boxing World Champion Brian Magee and the current British Minister for Sport, Richard Caborn.
Since moving to Russia, Eunan has reported on various sporting events and says that Moscow Premier League football derbies are among the most enjoyable he’s covered. Except when it snows and temperatures hover around the -20c mark!
Eunan isn’t just interested in the reporting of Sports. He’s also heavily involved in them himself. A member of the Irish Kickboxing team for 5 years, Eunan’s fought all across Europe and the U.S. and says he’s still got the bruises to prove it!
Another passion of his is acting, and was offered a place at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2005 before deciding to move to Moscow.
Gaelic Football, Irish History and the fortunes of Barcelona FC are other interests close to Eunan’s heart.
Eunan graduated in Communication, Advertising and Marketing at the University of Ulster. He also holds a diploma in International Business from Wesley College, Delaware and a postgraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Sheffield.
