Anissa Naouai

Anissa Naouai is a news reporter for Russia Today.

She has reported from over 40 cities across the Globe.

From Kennebunkport to Kyrgyzstan, Anissa gets to where the action is, keeping Russia Today’s viewers informed with live, up-to-the-minute coverage.

She witnessed first-hand the celebrations in Guatemala City when Sochi won the 2014 Olympic bid.

Anissa covered the 2007 French Presidential election from the heart of Paris.

She followed the radio-active trail in London, Moscow, and Hamburg after the murder of former Russian security officer Aleksandr Litvinenko.

In October 2006 she was one of the first journalists to arrive at the scene of Anna Politkovskaya murder.

Her work often takes her to Eastern Europe and the Baltic countries, to witness their integration with the West as they learn how to deal with their Soviet pasts.

Anissa has interviewed many influential political figures, including PACE President Rene Van der Linden, Lebanese Parliament Majority Leader Saad Hariri and Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev.

Born and raised in New York City, Anissa has lived in Russia since 2001. She moved to the Russian capital to complete a Masters degree at the Studio School of the Moscow Art Theatre.

She speaks fluent Russian.
