Faces of Russia Today

Katerina Azarova

Katerina Azarova is a News reporter for Russia Today.
Since joining the channel at its inception, Katerina has worked in the newsroom as a Broadcast Journalist. In the autumn of 2006, she began doing correspondent work as well and joined the reporters’ team full-time in November.

Katerina has personalised many news topics. When tensions began escalating between Russia and Georgia, she interviewed dozens of Georgians living in Moscow, showing what effect the political standoff had on regular people.

She also spent considerable time with relatives of the 2002 Moscow theatre siege victims and reported from the annual memorial service.

Katerina has a BA in English from the University of London’s Queen Mary College.
