Charlotte Lomas-Farley

Charlotte Lomas-Farley is a news correspondent for Russia Today.

She joined Russia Today in October 2006 and after working in the newsroom for 6 months she joined the reporting team.

In April 2007 Charlotte spent two weeks covering the political crisis in Ukraine, with up-to-the-minute broadcasts on the streets of Kiev.

When clashes broke out in Estonia after the controversial removal of a Soviet World War II soldier, Charlotte reported on the political and emotional aftermath with live reports and detailed analysis.

More recently Charlotte produced a series of special features from the north of Russia providing viewers with an in-depth look at life in the region.

At home in Moscow, she has covered a range of stories from a deadly nightclub fire to the extensive clean-up operations on the city’s streets in winter.

Charlotte’s journalistic career started in local newspapers, before working for the BBC and regional radio.

She has a BA Honours in English and German from Nottingham University as well as a PG Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Cardiff University.

In her free time Charlotte loves to travel, read and go to the theatre.
