Faces of Russia Today

Leah Ferguson

Leah Ferguson is a News and Features Correspondent at Russia Today.

From the arctic tundra, across the Ural mountains, to the delta of the Volga river, Leah provides insight into the lives of ordinary Russians. She's told the story of villagers suffering from radiation poisoning, a result of Soviet nuclear disasters kept secret for decades, and brought to light the struggle faced by those with disabilities in the Village of the Blind.

While covering the Baltic States, Leah reported live on issues affecting Russian minorities and political disputes over plans to remove a Soviet monument.

From the Czech Republic, she covered protests against U.S. plans to build European missile bases.

Leah has kept viewers up to date from Moscow on topics such as abandoned children, military conscription and demography.

Before joining Russia Today, Leah worked as a reporter across BBC and ITV newsrooms in the UK.

She studied BSc Psychology in Bristol before gaining a PGDip Broadcast Journalism at Cardiff University.
