United calls off Indonesian trip following deadly blast

Manchester United has cancelled a high-profile trip to Indonesia following the blast at the Ritz-Carlton hotel where they were due to stay in Jakarta next week.

The United stars were due in Jakarta on Sunday as part of their Asian major tour. Their game against the Indonesian XI was scheduled for next Monday.

The 100,000-capacity Bung Karno Stadium has been sold out, but their hotel, along with the Marriott, was hit by an explosion on Friday that left at least nine people dead and 50 injured, many of them foreigners.

On Friday, Sir Alex Ferguson's men arrived in Kuala Lumpur. Their tour also includes matches in South Korea and China.
