This variety of comments illustrates the problem of preenting factual truth in the United States today. Most people will blindly parrot the "talking points" of their political belief system, in spite of any facts to the contrary. Belief systems (like religions) have no use for facts. Humans the world over "love to hate," and they often spew their hatred in a righteousness born in a defense of the belief system.
What does Obama's authority to arrest citizens and hold for life without trial, have to do with the assumption that W. Bush did not demolish the World Trade Center? Of course we do not know if "W" had his hands in the demolitions of the three WTC buildings (The Twin Towers and the 47 story "Building 7", which was also demolished), but we do have evidence of Dick Cheney the CIA and Mossad, and several other groups in the fruit pie of planning and cover-up. Not the least of which is the traces of "thermite" used to methodically sever the steel support beams as the buildings collapsed. Even the two chairmen of the "9-11 Commission" have publicly commented that they and their report were misled by the Bush Administration.
In the United States, as Naomi Wolf points out, Obama has the “laws” in place which allow him all of the heinous crimes of any past president, plus a few new ones should he feel like participating. Rather than form a united front of citizens to demand a stop to such absurd abuses of the U.S. Constitution and the citizenry, our citizens are moved to fight and scream against each other, defending their personal political belief systems politically manifested as Republicans, Democrats, Conservatives, Liberals, Socialists, etc.
Too bad only the Republicans can see how bad Obama is, and only the Democrats can see how bad Bush was.
George Bush protected our country for 8 years.He authorized the right agencies to help keep us safe.His administration went Awol during his term and left him holding the bag.It was Osama Bin Laden that started the need for Gitmo and The Patriot Act. It was not George Bush that bombed The World Trrade Center! The president did what he had to.And with every administration since FDR,the goverment agencies went thier own way.Borth Republican and Democrat voted for the measures under The Patriot Act.In 2002 the house and senate were screaming for vengeance.George Bush did what he was hired to do.He protected the country against enemies both foriegn and domestic.The liberals of our nation are hypocrites.They cry about war and terrorism but sign into law measures that can easily be abused.Democrates voted in The Atom Bomb in 1945.They demonize Republicans and try to look Saintly.Onama is a dictator,who will be either impeached or not re-elected once the country sees his treachery.The Stimulus money was wasted and poorly distributed.The rich got richer,even without George Bush.Good ol'George!
I cannot believe that you bleeding hearts want to talk about Gitmo when your whole and total FREEDOM is up for grabs by Obama's plans! Talk about BUSH alll you want! He did not instigate plans to TOTALLLY control you! Healthcare,Cap and Trade, Employees Freedom of Choice (Card Check), Food Act, Clean Waters Act --- all of them are MAJOR FED GOvT TAKEOVERS! Bush was a sick and twisted man who spent 8 years building up the foundation for a military state. I hope that Obama shoots it down, but I can't expect him to be able to destroy in 6 months what took Bush 8 years to create, especially considering the bureaucracy in which he is working. I have been really excited about a lot of the work he's done nationally, and I'm hoping that his international policies will be reflective of his promises. To my knowledge, Bush, and not Obama has locked people up for an undetermined length of time with no trial... I expect Obama to never do that and to withdraw that policy before he leaves office. I know that it takes a lot of time to get things done in the federal government, and Obama has A LOT to undo, I can't expect him to do it all at once.
Obama is pushing totalitarianism/authoritarian dictatorship in the USA at a very FAST pace. There isnot this left/right pardigm in politics, but only ONE and that is communism & one world government. One world government aka New World Order now known in a more deceptive light as...Global governance is a SHAM against the poor & middleclass. You all know the saying, there are TWO reasons for why these elite do what they do....MONEY.& POWER...meaning CONTROL of ALL money and thus control of ALL peoples. Governments have grown together as ONE and will require that all people look to it to deliver what they need and will depend on it solely. NO Thanks.
