I am a Hondurean no offense taken. Don't worry about Zelaya's wardrobe he went shopping in Costa Rica and rang up a US$40k credit card charge paid by the govt of Honduras. The only junta around is the one in your essay; it is the civilians ( courts and public prosecutor) who gave the orders to send this self appointed messiah to the wilderness where he belongs. Now we have Micheletti for six months before the next "anointed" one shows up to save us from this "honduras", (deep hole), that the politicos have stuck us in. Yes please stop scratching it for it may start to smell. Saludos

Obviously the truth in these cases is hard to discern. However, one thing interesting for me is the parallel with Georgia. Both seemed to have acted on a nod and a wink, or invented a notion of US support themselves in a stategic miscalculation. For the nod and a wink to work out incorrectly, it would mean mixed messaging from the US. This in itself could mean a power struggle within the US administration, between the approach of continuing their global terror and destabalisation network interfering in nation states, or whether to change and follow international law and support the integrity and right for self determination of nation states. Let's hope it signals the latter, which would mean a shift away from illegal invasion, torture and rape, to a better moral and legal footing. It would be good news for us all! Medvedev needs to enquire heavily as to weather the US is truly abandoning illegal involvement in other nations self determination.
