Russia’s Premier League sides Dinamo Moscow and Zenit St. Petersburg are both in talks to buy ex-Liverpool star Luis García, Spanish El Mundo Deportivo reports.

The 31-year-old striker had quite a disappointing season with Atletico Madrid, failing to score a single goal in 19 La Liga appearances.

And the club, who finished 4th in the table and qualified for the UEFA Champions League, is now eager to sell the high-paid player.

Luis García made his name playing for Liverpool in 2004-05, as he was one of the main figures in the Anfield team’s triumph in the UEFA Champions League. He also received 18 caps for the Spanish national team, scoring 4 goals.

Dinamo is in need of experienced players, as the club is making its debut in the Champions League this autumn. And Zenit’s coach Dick Advocaat has also said his squad requires a strong attacker to fight for the Russian championship and compete in the Europa League.

English clubs Fulham, Blackburn Rovers and West Bromwich have also expressed a desire to see the player in their squads.
