There's no doubt that this Russian president visit will bring benefit to both countries, there' no much doubt that the Russians will benefit the most.

I quite agree with Okoye Greg that our leaders are corrupt and the Russians are not that too good when it comes to human rights records. But, we can not use those as yard sticks to measure their capacity to provide the neccesary things needed to make this projects a reality. One thing that am a bit skeptical of, as a young Nigerian, is that the ordinary Nigerians on the street will not benefit tremedously from this partnership project of carrying gas to Europe.

What I would like to say to the Russian president(with all due respect)is that he should see to the condition of the people on the street through his intelligence and other secret monitoring bodies to know how much the people are really suffering despite available natural resources.

Beside all, I am very skeptical of their aim in Nigeria, mainly to monopolized the gas industry for the supply of the product to Europe in order to gain more power.Meanwhile, the ball is largely in our own court.

I have never admired Russians for anything. The Russian president visit to Nigeria proves nothing and, it will not lift the country out of it deep-rooted poverty. Our leaders are the detriment to a better life in this country because they are corrupt. They thought bringing in Russian investments will solve the problem---It just another lack of foresight.

It's very palpable the aim of the Russian leader to Africa. That's, to create monopoly for the supply of gas to Europe thereby gaining further power.

I i think this is a good idea for the russian delegation, nuclear energy must alos be on the agenda aside from the trans saharan pipe line. this pipe line will give russia an ace when dialoging with the eu. NIgeria Needs Nuclear energy for electricity.

I feel you bro!(william katamba) That's very kind of you. Well for me as a Nigerian, I think it's time for Russians to show the world the kind of super power they really are not only by competing with the chinese in business aspect over Africa, but with other things like giving a helpful hand to education, infrastructure & most importantly in nuclear facilities (electrical power). We Africans, mostly we Nigerians love Russians 'cos they are very tough. I hope this visit by president Medvedev will strenghten the ties between Africa & Russia just like it is with United states, EU&China. Added to what William was saying, Russia should also learn to condemn those leaders that are misusing their powers ,'cos it will help in developing Africa.

This is good for the Russian president to come to Africa. However, I should urge him to offer some assistance to poor African Countries in combating HIV and Malaria like other rich Europeans countries. For us in Africa we look at Russia as a powerfull country but very mean . It hardly helps Africa. Now its coming for our naturtal resources. This is where America and other Europeans countries , China andJapan are shining . You can have Nuclear weapons .et.c but you can't rule the world when you are so mean like that. Please RUSSIA Change a bit in your foreign policy. Speak out against DAFUR, Somalia, Try to bring peace to Middle east. Work with Americans to bring world order , Speak strongly agaisnt Iran and North korea having Nuclear weapons do not leave it to America and others. Tomorrow it will be you at cross with NK and Iran or face a similar situation like DAFUR, Somalia and you will need the world help. Who ever knew that America will ever be attacked. PLEASE HELP AFRICA!!!!
