Weather remains one of the top issues in F1 this season. The pilots, who were drowning in heavy rain showers in Malaysia and China, may now face a sandstorm in Bahrain, F1-Live.com reports.
Local meteorologists predict a very hot and dry racing weekend on April 24-26. They also raise the possibility of one or two sandstorms on Sunday.
Two of the previous Grand Prixs, held in Asia, were spoiled by the weather. The start of the Chinese GP was performed behind a safety car because of a drenched track. And the race in Malaysia was stopped due to heavy rain showers with 24 laps to go.
Brawn GP driver, Jenson Button, comes to Bahrain as the season’s leader with 25 points. His teammate Rubens Barrichello is second, with 15 points.
