In Formula One, Britain's Jenson Button has taken pole position ahead of Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix.
It was the second pole in as many races for the Brawn-Mercedes driver, as he set a time of just over 1 minute 35 seconds to finish almost a tenth of a second ahead of Toyota's Jarno Trulli.
Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel qualified in third, but he will receive a ten-place grid penalty from the last race in Melbourne, while Rubens Barrichello, who qualified fourth, will also be penalized.
As a result, Timo Glock is promoted to third place on Sunday's starting grid.
