Dynamo Moscow were comfortable 4-1 winners in the fourth game of the KHL semifinals against AK Bars Kazan, making the score in the best of seven series 2-2.
There was just one goal scored in the previous game of the series, which is pretty unusual for hockey, but the match on Monday saw a lot more pucks in the net.
Visitors from Kazan took the lead in the middle of the first period after an effort from Oleg Petrov, but Dynamo equalized through Eric Landry, who left no chance to goalkeeper Fredrik Norrena, 1-1.
And then the hosts had a superb second period, which decided the outcome of the game.
Goals from Alexey Kalyuzhny, Denis Denisov and Eric Landry put Dinamo in a commanding 4-1 lead ahead of the final period, which saw no goals.
Team travel to Kazan now, where games five (March 25) and six will be held.
