Russia Roman Pavlyuchenko is doing better than he expected in his debut season in the English Premier League. The striker has reached his first small milestone in Tottemham, scoring his 10th goal.
Spurs beat Burnley in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final on Tuesday. Pavlyuchenko, who’s now called Super-Pav by Tottenham fans, struck a powerful left-foot shot to score in the home side’s 4-1 win.
“I was planning to score 15 to 18 goals in my first season in the Premier League. But now I have to correct my plans and increase the number. I think 20 goals will be a pretty good result,” Roman Pavlyuchenko said talking to Russia’s Sport Express newspaper.
Before going to England, Pavlyuchenko had been on target in Russia too. He was the top scorer in the Russian Premier League in 2006 and 2007, playing in the red and white of Spartak Moscow.
RT has put together his goals from both Russia and England from 2008 to show you some of his recent career highlights.
