Medvedev says withdrawal depends on security guarantees

The Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has announced that troops who remain on Georgian territory will be withdrawn once international guarantees for South Ossetia and Abkhazia are assured. It follows talks between Medvedev and European officials in Moscow, including French leader Nicolas Sarkozy, who held a joint media conference in Moscow.
