EU condemns Russian actions in Georgia

Leaders of the European Union have condemned Russia’s actions in the Caucasus, but vowed to maintain contacts with Moscow and continue existing ties. French President Nicolas Sarkozy, whose country has EU presidency, has threatened to postpone talks on a new partnership and cooperation agreement if Russia does not respect a peace plan.
