Breakaway republics only trust Russian peacekeepers – Medvedev

Russia would welcome an international peacekeeping force in the Georgian breakaway republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia – but the people there trust only Russians, said President Medvedev. The Russian leader’s comments were made at a joint media conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
