Computer hackers have joined the conflict between Georgia and and its breakaway region of South Ossetia. Those sympathetic to the Ossetian side attacked Georgian websites on Friday. One compared the Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili with the German dictator Adolf Hitler.

Several other news websites have also been paralysed.

South Ossetian websites were also targeted, but have since resumed operation.
