Hillary feels the heat as Obama takes Vermont

Published 05 March, 2008, 00:32

Barack Obama has come a step closer to winning the Democratic nomination for the U.S. presidential election. He beat rival Hillary Clinton in the Vermont primary, giving him 12 straight victories. Republican front-runner John McCain also won in Vermont, beating former Arkansas governor Mike Huckerbee.

The result is another blow for the election hopes of Hillary Clinton.

Many political analysts believe anything other than a convincing win for her in Texas and Ohio will spell the end of her presidential dream.
