Wimbledon at the ready

Published 24 June, 2007, 19:11

Wimbledon gets underway on Monday, with Roger Federer gunning for his fifth straight title at the All England Club. This year, there will be no roof on the centre court because it is undergoing reconstruction to put a retractable roof on which will be ready for next year.

If the Swiss ace does manage to win, he will match Bjorn Borg's record of five successive Wimbledon Crowns.

Maria Sharapova will start as one of the favourites in the women's draw, but could face tough competition from Justine Henin, who is still searching for her first Wimbledon title.
