A 118th minute goal from Russian striker, Roman Pavlyuchenko, propelled Tottenham Hotspur into the League Cup final, where they’ll face Manchester United.

With a 4-1 lead from the first leg, Tottenham’s went into Wednesday’s away tie against Burnley full of confidence.

But Burnley did everything to destroy the Londoners’ cup hopes. They opened the scoring in the first half, and added two more after the break. The goal that made the aggregate score 4-all went in just three minutes before the finale whistle.

Away goals don't count in the League Cup. So the game went into overtime where Roman Pavlyuchenko, who replaced Modric on 65 minutes, took matters into his own legs.

Super-Pav scored and saved coach Harry Redknapp from what he said could’ve been the most embarrassing night of his footballing life. Burnley went for all-out attack after that, allowing Jermain Defoe to add another for Spurs before the final whistle. Tottenham secured the tie 6-4 on aggregate.

The League Cup final will be held at Wembley stadium on March, 1.

Pavlyuchenko’s goal was his 11th since moving to Tottenham from Spartak Moscow in summer.
