RT has the choicest cuts from this week's strikes in the inaugural Continental Ice Hockey League.

Last year’s champions Salavat Yulaev don’t seem to be in any mood to surrender their title this season. The Ufa side are currently top the league with Moscow Region’s Atlant, Kazan’s Ak Bars and Metallurg from Magnitogorsk not far behind.

However, when it comes to the best strikes, your current place in the league doesn’t matter at all!
