Robert Bridge

Robert Bridge is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has been a dedicated ‘Muscovite’ for the last 12 years.

He studied studio arts at Allegheny College before continuing his education at the University of Pittsburgh, where he excelled in political science and English literature. Robert considers his many-sided liberal education, in addition to his diverse life experiences, which include extensive travels, as one of the main incentives for becoming involved in journalism and writing.

Starting out as a freelance journalist, Robert Bridge’s commentaries have appeared in many publications, including The Moscow Times, Russia in Global Affairs, The Guardian and The Moscow News, where he wrote an award-winning weekly column, entitled ‘An American in Moscow,’ which ran for 6 consecutive years.

Robert Bridge was appointed editor-in-chief of The Moscow News, a position he held from June 2007 until January 2009.

Now, his political commentaries appear daily on the RT website.
