One of Russia’s most renowned theatre directors, Lev Dodin, is showing his “Life and Fate” at New York’s Lincoln Center.

St. Petersburg’s Maly Drama Theatre is currently taking part in the Lincoln Center Festival, which highlights the most successful musical and drama performances from around the world.

Dodin’s “Life and Fate” has already received accolades and awards in Europe. The production is based on Vasily Grossman’s legendary novel which was banned in 1960 due to parallels it drew between Stalin and Hitler, totalitarianism and anti-Semitism.
