The total area of the masterpiece is about 150 square meters, which is the same size as a big circus ring! The flowerbed is located at the city entrance. This year the municipal budget was chopped to allocate some 300,000 roubles for the spectacular arrangement.

Tomsk’s emblem is a green heraldic shield with a silvery grey galloping horse. At the bottom of the shield is a dark red ribbon emblazoned with the motto: “Through labor and knowledge”. Three kinds of flowers were used to “color” the emblem: grey cinerarias, green stonecrop and vinous horsemint.

The flower-bed is intended to remain whole summer.
