Latvian singer fights depression with tattoo

Published 08 May, 2009, 19:10

“I felt depressed yesterday," Intars Busulis jokingly complained. “I’d like to show you my tattoos,” the Latvian actor/musician told the press conference in Moscow.

Much to the surprise and applause of journalists and fans, the entertaining singer demonstrated not only his painted body, but also his singing talent, and asked all those present to sing along with him.

The Latvian singer made a name for himself as a jazz and pop musician who has also performed in musicals ‘Notre Dame de Paris’ and ‘Cabaret.'

All of a sudden, Busulis told the chronically hungry journalists that he knows for sure, who will win the Eurovision – Norway!

But still, on May 14, the Latvian singer will enter the competition with 18 participants of the second semi-final of the Eurovision contest in Moscow with his dynamic entry ‘Probka’ (‘Traffic Jam’).

Busulis will be singing in Russian, and it seems that there’s a reason for it as the song reflects one of the most burning issues of Moscow street life – endless traffic jams and stress. The Eurovision contest will show how many people want to hear a song about heavy traffic.
