Sweden, occupy us!

A group of Latvians have posted an online petition calling for their country to be occupied and its sovereignty cancelled. But not by Russia – the petition is addressed to Sweden.
“We, the people of Latvia, would like to ask Sweden to occupy Latvia,” the petition says.
“We consider that the Latvian state has no reason to exist. We would like to become Swedish citizens and promise that we will comply with Swedish laws. In exchange we would like to get Swedish citizenship and share the same rights that Swedish people have.”
The petition is in two languages – Latvian and English – and has been signed by 1,500 people so far.
