Glitz and glamour comes to Moscow

Published 31 October, 2008, 18:54

It’s the fourth day of the biggest fashion show in Eastern Europe. More than 60 designers are busy presenting their spring and summer collections on Moscow's catwalks in the capital’s Fashion Week.

Friday saw Italy’s Alessandro de Benedetti showcase his latest creations to Moscow’s fashion-conscious audience.

In total, 111 events are planned for the week.  As well as fashion shows, they include parties, art exhibitions, business seminars with international speakers and charity galas.

More than 60 fashion designers from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Spain and Italy are revealing their collections at the main RFW venue at the Congress Hall of the World Trade Centre in the capital’s centre.

Major events are aired on World Fashion Channel on satellite TV.  And for the first time ever, Russia’s most popular search engine – rambler.ru – is providing a live Internet broadcast of the show.
