CSKA coach Valery Gazzaev insists his team can still win the Russian Premier League after the Army men defeated Dynamo Moscow 3-1 to move to within seven points of leaders Rubin with four games still to play

You couldn't underestimate the importance of this match as CSKA were desperate to cut Rubin's advantage, while Dynamo knew three points would put them along side CSKA in the League.

It was the home side that showed early promise.

After five minutes Ignashevich blasted a free-kick into the wall and then drilled the rebound into the bottom corner: 1-0 to CSKA.

However, with the score remaining the same until half-time, Dynamo were still in the game as the match resumed.

Not for long, though, as CSKA's four-pronged attack soon punctured Dynamo's defence and hopes. Krasich's determined run set up Love for the easiest of finishes just after the restart to make it 2-0.

More was to follow when Zhirkov lifted the ball over the helpless Karchemarskas to wrap up the game for the home side.

A well-taken goal at the death by Wilkshire gave Dynamo something for their efforts, but 3-1 was the final score, with CSKA believing there's still a chance of snatching the title.
