Football legend Diego Maradona just stopped short of ruining a match between Argentinian and Georgian veterans in Tbilisi.
The friendly on Friday evening started 40 minutes late as Maradona had been refusing to participate.
A confidant of socialist Latin American leaders like Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez, Maradona was protesting about the prices of tickets for the game, which ranged from $7 to $107 – the latter comparable to the monthly salary of a school teacher.
The match went on in the end with Argentina beating Georgia 5-3.
