Heroic hound rescues kittens from blaze

They're supposed to fight like – well – a cat and a dog, but a pup in Melbourne, Australia, has bucked the trend by risking his life to save a litter of kittens trapped in a house fire.
Going by the name of Leo, the courageous canine refused to leave the kittens – even when thick smoke engulfed them.
And like all the greatest heroes, the brave hound almost paid the ultimate price after succumbing to the fumes.
But the happy ending was complete when Leo was revived with oxygen and a heart massage.
The kittens and their saviour are now safe and sound.
