Wife forgives IMF love rat

While the International Monetary Fund continues to investigate its chief over his love affair with a staffer, Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s wife has weighed in to support her husband. Anne Sinclair, a television journalist, says she has fully forgiven her husband and insists they 'love each other as much as before'.
In her blog, Sinclair was frank about the extra-marital incident.

She also thanked friends and acquaintances who supported them.
The 59-year-old IMF chief had an affair with Hungarian-born Piroska Nagy. She held a senior post in the organisation’s Africa department. The liaison was discovered by Nagy’s husband, who found her e-mail correspondence with Strauss-Kahn.
After the information about the love affair appeared in the media, the IMF chief confessed, but was adamant it was a one-night relationship.
Nagy left with a compensation package in August. The investigation is to find out whether their relationship dealt with favouritism and if her severance package was excessive for a person of her position. Her lawyer, Robert Litt, said Nagy left voluntarily, and the severance offer was available to all staff.

Meanwhile, on October 19 the French government praised Strauss-Kahn for his handling of the global financial crisis. Government spokesman Luc Chatel noted that over the past few weeks Strauss-Kahn had “fulfilled his role in all its aspects” and shown that he was “the man for the job.”
The investigation is due to announce its results at the end of October.
