Who is Joe the Plumber?
17 October, 2008, 22:39
Even though polling day is just weeks away, media attention in the U.S. has shifted from the two presidential candidates onto an unsuspecting plumber named Joe. But who is he? And what has he to do with the issue every voter is worried about – the economy?
Both candidates have name-checked him time and again during their debates. But who exactly is Joe the Plumber?
Is he just a fictional character that symbolizes the average guy on the street, who’ll go to the polls in November hoping a new administration will fix up broken America?
Or is he a real person, with a life, a family and a history?
RT went on a quest to find Joe the Plumber.
