The German Bundesliga side Hamburger SV is planning to bury its fans in a special cemetery. Now the most loyal of the club’s supporters will have the chance to sleep eternally within earshot of living fans at the team’s home stadium.
Bosses of the Hamburg team are planning to attract media attention and serious investment into the project. The cemetery near the HSH Nordbank Arena has 500 grave plots available. Each is sale at $4,000 apiece, and, for those who are looking to be cremated, urns adorned in the clubs colours and emblem can be purchased for $700.
The fans are already in a hurry to the precious places.
Hamburger SV, established in 1887, is one of Germany’s oldest football clubs.
