Oh, Helen. . . as a teacher you should have been taught about the lake. Shame on your university. I might add that you did not spell several words correctly, including "fascinated," but if your professors did not believe learning about this lake was critical knowledge, they probably did not consider spelling particularly important, either. Many factors have knitted into our being a country comprised of ignorant folks; we must all struggle toward knowledge the best we can. Keep at it, and teach your children the world is wider, deeper, more fantastic than what a few books say on even fewer pages.
Why is it I only found out about this lake watching Animal Planets show Earth! As a teacher I wounder why the schools don't teach about it ? Is it because not much is known about it! I am now fasinated, how do I find out more about it?
