Pro-Am spreads on Russian dance floors

The abbreviation Pro-Am sounds political but in fact it has nothing to do with politics. It simply means professional and amateur dancers performing together. Moscow has hosted an annual ball, attended by the world's leading dance couple Michael Malitowski and Joanna Leunis.

The Pro-Am dance system has developed in the US and Europe but it's a brand new trend in Russia with a few dance clubs offering the service.

But despite its tender age Pro-Am dancing seems to have the potential in Russia. Professionals admit that the level of Russian amateur dancers is really impressing.
