A Moscow international motor show “Top Marques Moscow” has started at the capital’s exhibition centre Crocus Expo. The world's most-prestigious and luxurious cars are on display; the event provides wealthy Muscovites with an opportunity to take a look at what the world's best cars producers have to offer.
This year Moscow has been named the city with the highest number of billionaires living in it. No wonder Russia’s capital eagerly hosts the A-class shows aimed to attract and entertain the rich and fastidious metropolitan inhabitants.
Nearly all the models of Porsche, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Rolls Royce, Jaguar as well as Bentley Continental GT Speed are to be shown off. The unique Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren – worth over $US 500 thousand – is also to be flaunted.
Top Marques Monaco is a show of the super cars. This fever of engine power and luxury is held under the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, a well-known fan of what is considered to be “good cars”.
Across the weekend, Moscow’s exhibition is expected to attract thousands, although the organisers are more interested in the quality of its visitors, rather than the quantity. They admit some of the guests could "make certain arrangements with the dealers.
