Homeless depict lives on canvas

One does not need to have a home to be an artist, but a piece of paper and imagination. Social workers from the Caritas charity organisation give weekly art therapy classes for the homeless. Painting helps them escape reality but after that they resume their routine work – collecting bottles in the streets. Surprisingly, some of the inhabitants of the state-run Marfino hostel are well educated, can speak foreign languages and play musical instruments.
