Corkscrew art takes Moscow by storm

Published 28 March, 2008, 10:20

It appears corkscrews are not purely practical but can be real art objects. The first ever exhibition of antique corkscrews has opened at one of Moscow's wine boutiques. Hundreds of items come from Germany, France, Hungary and England.

Andrey Tkemakadze is not only a passionate collector but a great wine connoisseur. His wine boutique is the largest of its kind in Europe, offering wine-lovers three floors of the bottled stuff.

He doesn’t sell bottles. In the gallery, while letting people tasting the wine, he tells them beautiful legends connected to the noble drink.
