Irish craic engulfs Moscow

Published 16 March, 2008, 15:10

Irish eyes were smiling on Moscow on Sunday for the Russian capital’s annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade. The festivities started a day early in Russia, with expats and anyone with even a remote Irish link, marching through Moscow's streets.

They were joined by musical performers from all over the country.

It’s been a busy weekend for the Irish in Moscow, with a huge ball held on Saturday night also.

Weekend firework displays kicked off a whole week of planned festivities throughout Ireland.
