Lovers separated by Stalin’s prison camps reunited after 60 years

They were separated by Stalin's prison camps and the Soviet army. But now a love story that started just shortly after World War II is being re-ignited with two lovers meeting again after 60 years apart.
Anna Postanogova was overwhelmed with excitement, expecting a very special guest – her first lover who she hadn't seen for over half a century.
“This is the first and the last love. There is nothing more to expect,” Anna says.

When they first met shortly after the end of World War II in 1945, they were only 17.
“He had beautiful eyes. I was blinded and didn’t know what to do. I thought it was my happiness,” Anna remembers.
Thinking about getting married
They spent less then a year together, when happy days following the war victory were ruined by the cold winds of change. Anna was accused of stealing and sent to Stalin’s prison camp for six years, and Sergey went to serve in the Soviet army in the Far North.
“I spent six years in the Far North… with Anna,” Sergey says.
“That’s because he saw me in dreams,” adds Anna.
But when Anna was released they didn’t meet. Both of them married and lived their own lives. Now they realise they still love each other and are thinking about getting married – shortly before their 80th birthdays.
